This series of "cubist"-like portraits was begun in the summer of 2004 and continued until the fall of 2005. For this project I focused on people in their own personal environments. I attempted to show the passage of time and the movement of the subject to better understand the space. I believe much can be gained from the amalgamation of all these individual shots as compared to one single negative. For me, these images represent memory – the way we piece things together in our minds to come up with an understanding of reality. |
